Hi, I’m Pete.
I’m a software architect based in Ireland with over 15 years of industry experience, primarily in the Microsoft stack.
I began my professional career as a web developer, working with .NET and SQL Server, both technologies I’m still fond of today.
I began working with Microsoft Azure around 10 years ago, delivering IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions. I’m an advocate of serverless technology and a co-organiser of the excellent ServerlessDays Belfast.
Around about 5 years ago I started working with Microsoft Power Platform. Coming from a full stack “traditional” development background, I found the framework to be incredibly empowering, with so many features available straight out of the box.
Of course, it can’t do everything, but what it can do, it does extremely well. Anyone can create software using Power Platform, but not everyone can create good software with Power Platform. Sometimes the framework gets a bad reputation because of this – poorly written software written by people who lost interest when things got a bit challenging.
That’s why I decided to start this blog. I want to help everyone get the best out of Power Platform, to deliver secure software that works at scale and have fun learning along the way.
I hope you enjoy reading it.
